Fuel filler flap emergency release
WARNING
Avoid contact with the vehicle walls as they
may contain sharp edges. Otherwise, you
could injure yourself while releasing the fuel
filler flap.
The emergency release is located in the trunk/cargo compartment behind the side trim on the right-hand side, when viewed in the direction of travel.
•► Open the trunk lid/tailgate.
•► Sedan: slide down the parcel net.
•► Open the side trim.
•► Remove the first-aid kit
•► Detach the emergency release from retainer 1.
•► Pull the emergency release in the direction of arrow 2.
The fuel filler flap is unlocked.
•► Open the fuel filler flap.
•► Wagon: remove the first-aid kit from the parcel net.
Depending on the vehicle's equipment, the first-aid kit is in the parcel net or behind the side trim panel.
Open the side trim.
•► Fold down the side trim.
•► Pull the emergency release in the direction of arrow 1.
The fuel filler flap is unlocked.
•► Open the fuel filler flap.
