Preparing the vehicle

Your vehicle may be equipped with a "Minispare" emergency spare wheel or MOExtended tires (tires with run-flat properties).

  Firmly depress the parking brake.  Switch on the hazard warning lamps.

  Vehicles with automatic transmission: move the selector lever to P.  Vehicles with manual transmission: engage first or reverse gear.
  Switch off the engine.  Vehicles with automatic transmission: move the selector lever to P.
  Vehicles without KEYLESS-GO: remove the SmartKey from the ignition  Switch off the engine.

The on-board electronics have status 0, which is the same as the SmartKey having  Vehicles with KEYLESS-GO: open the driver's door.
